Thunder Stix Baseball and Softball Academy is Delaware's newest baseball and softball training center.  Conveniently located on Rt. 13 in New Castle, Thunder Stix is an 11,000 square foot facility that caters to the player looking to gradually improve their game or take it completely to the next level. 

Thunder Stix will have 4 state of the art automated batting cages.  These cages are outfitted with the Jugs Ultimate Trainer 2000 pitching machines.  These machines are capable of throwing everything from high arc slow pitch to blazing 90+ mph fastballs.  Each cage is user programmable so there's no waiting in long lines for the “fast” machine to come available.  That's right, every cage is capable of throwing baseball AND softball and can be programmed to the skill level of the batter. 

In addition to the automated cages, Thunder Stix offers the best in training and instruction for players of all levels.  There will be 4 individual training lanes that can be rented by individuals or teams looking to work on skill development in hitting and pitching.  Some lanes are outfitted with portable pitching mounds, pitching machines, L-screens and other training tools.  There are also stations available for players who want to work on “soft-toss” and “tee-work” drills.  Looking for a place where your travel team can practice during the off-season or a rainy day?  Thunder Stix is the place for you!  Take advantage of our training lanes, pitching machines and other equipment.  The lanes are all outfitted with artificial turf.  The lane netting can be retracted, opening up 3000 square feet of open area  (Ideal for an infield practice, throwing drills and even some base running).
